Bipartisan legislation picks up steam in the Senate as North Carolina already wrestles with its own approach

“This is yet another series of disturbing allegations from Roy Cooper’s Democrat Party,” said Clara Tanner, former Vice President of the UNCW College Republicans. “What is becoming increasingly clear, especially in light of the Eric Swalwell debacle, is that Roy Cooper and establishment Democrats only take on action on these issues due to political pressure.  Despite the history of misconduct and misbehavior at events, Cooper was happy to take their money.”  

“Through our investigations, we at the State Auditor’s Office seek to hold individuals accountable for misguided actions,” said State Auditor Dave Boliek. “What’s been uncovered at NC A&T represents gross misconduct. Given the findings of our investigation, we’ve made a criminal referral to the State Bureau of Investigation and I have fully informed and updated the Guilford County District Attorney. I want to thank NC A&T Chancellor Martin for working with the State Auditor’s Office and for the corrective actions being taken on this matter.”
