NCInnovation joined, federal, state, higher education and industry leaders to celebrate the launch of the Western North Carolina Futures Factory, which will strengthen North Carolina’s advance manufacturing ecosystem by connecting the university research, commercialization, workforce development and industry.
UNC Asheville Millennial Campus Development Advisory Committee released its recommendations for future development of the University's Millennial Campus properties, concluding a five-month planning process that engaged approximately 2,700 stakeholders from across the University and broader community.
The National Park Service has selected Ashley Pipkin to serve as the next superintendent of Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site. Pipkin will begin her new role June 24.
This week, the University of North Carolina Sehveille announced the appointment of Bruce W. Barker as the University’s next Vice chancellor for Budget and Finance and Chief Operation Officer. Barker previously served as the Director of Business Operation and Chief Procurement Officer since 2019. Barker will succeed Josh Lassiter, who has served in the role on an interim basis since the retirement of CFO Paul Forter.
This week, Mission Health launched a “50 Techs in 50 Days” campaign with the goal of hiring 50 professionals for critical rules including imaging, sterile processing, respiratory therapy, surgical technology, and pharmacy. This campaign follows its successful “90 Nurses in 90 Days” recruitment campaign.
