Americans For Prosperity North Carolina Hosts Hurricane Helene Roundtable

This week, Americans for Prosperity-North Carolina (AFP-NC) hosted federal and state lawmakers for a roundtable to discuss where North Carolina is on Hurricane Helene recovery efforts and how regulatory barriers, enacted by Biden and Cooper, are hindering progress. The roundtable included: Sen. Ted Budd, Rep. Chuck Edwards, Rep. Tim Moore, State Auditor Dave Boliek, State Sen. Warren Daniel, State Rep. Karl Gillespie, and Chairman Whatley.

Dalton Clark, AFP-NC managing director of external affairs, released the following statement: “AFP-NC was proud to host a great event last night with so many North Carolina leaders, and we are grateful for their participation. The common message we heard was that a lot of progress has been made on western North Carolina recovery efforts, but there’s still a lot of work to do. We will continue to do our part by working with policymakers to remove red tape in an effort to speed up recovery.”

The event followed the visit of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin’s visit to Western North Carolina.
