Despite Medical Training, Democrat Senate Candidate Annie Andrews Dodges Question On “What Is A Woman”
On a recent podcast, the Democrat for the United States Senate in South Carolina, Dr. Annie Andrews, declined to answer a basic question about how to define a woman. A key premise of her campaign is that she’s a doctor who can provide insights helpful to voters, but in the interview she dodged questions about basic biology.
On the “We The Palmetto” podcast, the host said, “Respectfully though, this is an issue even the WNBA is struggling with, defining a woman. How do we define a woman?”
Andrews said, “Honestly, I do not even want to entertain that question with an answer. I have a medical degree and a master’s degree. We can have a conversation about the difference between sex chromosomes and gender identity. I don’t think this is a conversation that belongs in a United States Senate race.”
This was not the only progressive policy advocated on the podcast by Andrews; she called for “fully funding the IRS,” a policy throwback to a Biden-era policy to unleash excessive audits on Americans. She also called for drastic cuts to the Department of Defense, while advocating massive domestic spending programs. Andrews also repeatedly attacked President Trump.
Additionally, Andrews reversed her position on transgender reassignment surgery for children and men in women's sports. Here are some screenshots of her previous tweets before she decided to run for Senate.
