Asheville Municipal Golf Courses Earned Regional Recognition

This week, the City of Asheville announced that the Asheville Municipal Golf Course was recognized by the 2026 Best of North Carolina Awards by Guide to North Carolina—earning Regional Winner in the Golf Courses category. businesses across the state receiving this distinction.  

 

Hurricane Helene did significant damage to the course and recovery is still ongoing. The back nine remains open for golfers, with reservations and tee times available through our partners at the Asheville Muni website. And thanks to the creativity and an ability to pivot by City of Asheville staff,  the front nine is currently serving as a disc golf course as the Municipal Golf Course Front 9 Restoration Project continues.
