Details On July Fourth Celebration In Asheville On The South Slope
To celebrate July 4th, the City of Asheville will host a Independence Day Block Party on the South Slope all day long. In honor of the holiday most City services and offices will be closed on Friday July 3rd.
Independence Day Block Party
Celebrate Independence Day in the South Slope all day long. The festivities begin at noon. Come early to enjoy the marketplace, food vendors, the Dock Dogs jumping competition + live music at Asheville Yards. Then, starting at 5:00 p.m., the streets come alive as the Independence Day Block Party expands with a classic car show, on-street beverage sales, and a spectacular fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m.

Information on Street and Parking Impacts for the Saturday, July 4th Celebrations
To facilitate the celebration, certain streets within Asheville’s South Slope district will close to vehicular traffic to allow for setup, the festivities, and post-event break down. Please plan your routes and parking accordingly.
Closed 7 a.m. – 12 a.m.
Coxe Ave. (from Hilliard Ave. to Millard Ave.)
Banks Ave. (from Coxe Ave. to Church St.)
Buxton Ave. (from Coxe Ave. to Millard Ave.).
Closed 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Asheland Ave. (from Hilliard to Southside Ave.)
Roads will be reopened after the event as they are cleared and barricades removed.
