City of Asheville Announces Holiday Season Events  

As winter approaches the City of Asheville announced its line-up of upcoming events through the holiday season. The big event is the Asheville Holiday Parade on November 22nd.  

 

November 15th- 22nd 

Warmth & Wags – November 15, 12-3pm

Find a cuddly year-round companion and share the holiday spirit with Mountain Pet Rescue’s array of adoptable dogs ready to fill your life with joy and wagging tails, from playful puppies to gentle seniors. 

Grove Street Pie Contest – November 20, 2-4pm

Bring your best holiday pie to see if your unique taste, texture, and originality stand out to the judges. Submit pies by noon to be part of the fun!

Join the City of Asheville in partnership with Asheville Downtown Association for a day of festive mountain spirit, creative community floats, and costumes brought to life by local groups and organizations under this year’s theme: Toyshop Whimsy.
