Memorial Day Ceremonies Across North Carolina’s Coast

Across the United States this Memorial Day, communities will gather to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Here is a guide to events across the coastal region of North Carolina:

  • Wilmington: Battleship North Carolina will host a Memorial Day Ceremony featuring military guest speakers, a 21-gun salute, a military band, and wreath laying. The event will be held on the Battleship at #1 Battleship Road, Wilmington NC, at 3:00 pm.

  • Jacksonville: The City of Jacksonville will host the 2025 Memorial Day Observance to remember Jacksonville’s fallen heroes. The event will be hosted at the Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery on Montford Landing Road at 11:00 AM.

  • New Bern: The Veterans Council of Craven County will host a Memorial Day 2025 Ceremony at New Bern National Cemetery at 11:00 AM.

  • Goldsboro: The Wayne County Veterans & Patriots Coalition will host a Memorial Day observance at the Wayne County Veterans Memorial in downtown Goldsboro, Monday, May 26th, at 2:30 PM.
