NC Ag Group Launches Ad Campaign to Protect NC Farm Jobs
Our AG Future, a North Carolina-based coalition of farmers and other agricultural groups, launched a TV and digital advertising campaign, encouraging Congress to protect duty drawback provisions. The group plans to spend at least $250,000 targeting key swing votes, including those in LA-04, OH-04, MD-01, as well as the Washington D.C., Bedminster, New Jersey, and Palm Beach, Florida TV markets.
The ad titled “Superpower” urges Congress to protect the duty drawback protection in the final reconciliation bill. The duty drawback protections prevent double taxation on items intended for export. The House version of the reconciliation package repealed these tax provisions, and industry leaders warned that North Carolina would lose thousands of farm jobs. Senators Thom Tillis and Ted Budd publicly supported protecting duty drawbacks. Congressman Greg Murphy also showed support for this, as his district is home to numerous farms across Eastern North Carolina. The Senate’s version of the reconciliation bill dropped the repeal of the duty drawback.

That hurts American workers and threatens our economic future.
To ensure America stays a manufacturing superpower, we must protect those that got us here.
Duty drawback keeps America’s farmers and workers competitive.
And when they’re competitive, we win.
Tell Congress — stand up for American workers and farmers.
Protect duty drawback.
