North Carolina Senators Budd and Tillis Announce Strong Support For Dan Bishop, President Trump’s Appointment For U.S. Attorney

This week, North Carolina Senators Ted Budd and Thom Tillis announced their strong support for President Trump’s U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina, former Congressman and Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget.  

“Dan Bishop is an experienced America First patriot with a distinguished private sector legal career, making him an excellent choice to serve as the next U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina. I have no doubt that under Dan’s leadership, communities in North Carolina will be safer, as he will execute the safer streets priorities I share with President Trump to prosecute dangerous criminals, enforce federal immigration law, hold drug cartels accountable, combat the evils of human trafficking, and boldly stand up for law enforcement. President Trump has made a strong choice in nominating him to serve North Carolinians in this new capacity, and I look forward to joining Senator Tillis in supporting his nomination in the Senate,” said Senator Budd.

The strong support from North Carolina’s Senators signals a relatively smooth confirmation process for Bishop, who was previously confirmed for his current role.
