NRSC Releases New Ad Criticizing Cooper For Prioritizing Illegal Aliens Over Hungry Kids

Today, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a new digital ad criticizing Cooper for standing with Establishment Democrats like Chuck Schumer over North Carolinians. The ad highlighted that Cooper seems to be siding with Schumer’s decision to shut down the government, even though 1.4 million North Carolinians including 500,000 children may lose SNAP benefits. Cooper seems to tacitly approve of Senate Democrats’ decision to vote 13 times to keep the government shut down.  

"Radical Roy Cooper has been in lockstep with the far-left for nearly 40 years and will stand against President Trump no matter what," said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia. "There's no doubt Cooper would vote to rip away hot meals from over 500,000 North Carolina kids to appease the radical left and give free healthcare to illegal aliens."
