NRSC Releases New Ad Hitting ‘Shotgun Cooper’ As Out-Of-Touch

Today, the National Republican Senate Committee released a new digital ad highlighting Democrat Senate candidate, former Governor Roy Cooper’s out-of-touch record. The ad labels him as “Democrats’ Favorite Shotgun Rider,” highlighting his decades as a career politician, isolated from everyday North Carolinians. The ad highlights Cooper’s record of supporting soft-on-crime policies, advocating for radical transgender ideology, his steadfast commitment to raising taxes, and his botched responses to hurricanes Matthew, Florence, and Helene.  

"Career politician Roy Cooper spent nearly 40 years loyally pushing the Democrats' far-left agenda in North Carolina," said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia. "After weeks of being criticized for soft-on-crime policies that led to a young woman's brutal murder, Cooper finally showed his face in person, but no amount of hiding and carefully orchestrated campaign stops will distract voters from the truth that Roy Cooper is a failed governor who left North Carolina less safe, less prosperous, and more radically woke than he found it."
