President Trump Endorses Lieutenant Governor Pam Evette’s Bid For South Carolina’s Governor

President Donald J. Trump officially endorsed South Carolina’s Lieutenant Governor, Pam Evette, who is running in the Republican Primary for Governor. Early voting is already underway and election day is on June 9th. Evette faces four other major candidates vying for the position.  

Here is what President Trump said in his endorsement:  

In response to this news, Evette said, “Thank you President Tump. Your walk down that golden escalator is what propelled me into politics. You showed what a businessperson can do to Make America Great Again. I am incredibly grateful for your support and will never let you down.”  

Earlier in the day, before the announcement, Congresswoman Nancy Mace said, “Pamela Evette is NOT ENDORSED BY DONALD TRUMP. She’s LYING.” Which is now debunked by the President. 

Recent polling on the race has consistently shown a tight race between the top contenders, with Evette consistently placing in the lead in the latest polls. President Trump’s endorsement may be exactly what Evette needs to secure victory on June 9th.
