President Trump Highlights His Choices In The March 3rd Primary 

As North Carolina Republicans head to the polls are early voting is officially underway and the Election Day is rapidly approaching on March 3rd, President Donald Trump highlighted his endorsements for Republican voters in North Carolina. 

 

In the two most watched primaries, President Trump reaffirmed his endorsement of Michael Whatley and Senate Leader Phil Berger.

President Trump endorsed the current incumbent Republican Congressional delegation. Notably, the President declined to re-endorse Laurie Buckout, who ran in 2024 and lost to Democrat Don Davis. With the redrawn map, Buckout believed she had a better chance and jumped back into the crowded Republican field. Her primary opponent criticized her in a campaign video for using the 2024 endorsement in the 2026 primary. Political observers generally believe it’s anyone’s chance to win the Republican Primary. The Republican candidates are Asa Buck, Laurie Buckout, Bobby Hanig, Eric Rouse, and Asheley-Nicole Russel.
