Sen. Darline Graham Wins Special Republican Senate Runoff

Yesterday, South Carolina Republicans headed to the polls for the Special Republican Runoff to fill the vacancy created by the passing of Sen. Lindsey Graham. Election night results show that Sen. Darline Graham secured 52.45% of the vote and Congressman Ralph Norman secured 47.55%. Darline Graham was appointed to fill the vacancy created by her brother and entered the race at the request of President Donald Trump. Graham will go onto face the Democrat nominee, Dr. Annie Andrews in the November General Election.

About her win in the runoff, Darline Graham said, “South Carolina, I am deeply honored and humbled to accept your nomination as the Republican candidate for the United States Senate. First and foremost, I thank the Lord for His blessings and guidance. To my family, President Trump, Team Graham, and the countless supporters across our state: thank you for believing in this mission and standing with us every step of the way. From the bottom of my heart, I am grateful for your trust, your hard work, and your commitment to South Carolina’s future. Now, we turn our focus to November. Together, we will fight for our values, defend South Carolina, and keep America strong. Onward to victory!”

After her victory, South Carolina Republicans rallied behind Graham:

  • Sen. Tim Scott said, “Senator Darline Graham is the real deal. Congratulations on the major victory and I’m looking forward to continuing our work together to tackle the issues facing South Carolina."

  • Congressman Russell Fry said, “Congratulations to Senator Darline Graham on winning the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate! I’m proud that the America First patriots in the Grand Stand and Pee Dee showed up in force at the polls and helped deliver a big win. The nation once again got see the deep bench of energized, conservative talent the Palmetto State possesses and the reality that South Carolina’s best days are still ahead. Now that the primary is behind us, we must all come together and focus on what unites us: fighting for working families, advancing the America First agenda, and defeating socialism on the radical left. Darline will continue to be a fighter and ally for President Trump and I look forward to voting for her AGAIN when she defeats Annie Andrews in November.”

  • Attorney General Alan Wilson said, “Congratulations to Senator Darline Graham on winning the Republican nomination for the United States Senate. Darline and Ralph both ran strong campaigns and gave Republican voters a clear choice. Now that the voters have spoken, it is time for every Republican across South Carolina to come together.  Democrats have assembled the most radical statewide ticket in South Carolina history. United as one Republican Party, we will defeat them and march to victory in November.”

Notably, Graham’s opponent, Congressman Ralph Norman in his concession speech disparaged President Trump for getting involved in the primary.
