Democrat Governor Josh Stein Vetoes Legislation That Holds Radical Judges Accountable

Today, Governor Josh Stein (D- North Carolina) announced that he vetoed House Bill 377. As the Blue Ridge Times previously reported, House Bill 377 worked to hold judges who endanger the public accountable. It provided the Supreme Court with more authority to address judicial misconduct.

In response to Stein’s veto, North Carolina House Speaker Destin Hall said, “And of course, Governor Stein just vetoed the bill that put a check on reckless judges. It’s very clear that his administration doesn’t care about public safety. Once again, the House will clean up the Governor’s mess and OVERRIDE this senseless veto. North Carolina deserves better.”
