“Our state’s fiscal health remains in great shape. This is a responsible spending plan that takes aim at bureaucratic bloat without endangering core services,” said Senate Leader Phil Berger. “This keeps our promise to reduce the tax burden for all North Carolinians, while expanding access to incredible educational opportunities, keeping our communities safe, and solidifying North Carolina’s status as the best state in the nation.” 

"Under Roy Cooper, North Carolinians paid more for food, housing, energy, and healthcare as he cheered on Kamala Harris' reckless spending that sent inflation to 9%. Cooper makes stuff cost more for North Carolinians while illegals and dangerous criminals get a free ride," said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.  

Throughout his time as Governor, Cooper failed North Carolinians on affordability, public safety, and disaster response. North Carolinians deserve a Senator cares about them and that disqualifies Cooper.
