Democrat Congressional Candidate Justin Pearson Celebrates Endorsements From Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

This week, Democrat Congressional Candidate Justin Pearson celebrated the endorsement of ultra liberal Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Pearson is a candidate in August 6th primary with three other Democrats in the race. Two Republican lawmakers are running in the Republican primary. Incumbent Congressman Stephen Cohen declined to run again after Tennessee Republican eliminated the racial gerrymandering that gave him a partisan advantage, after the pivotal Supreme Court case. 

State Rep. Justin Pearson said, “Very proud to have the endorsement of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar!.”  

Earlier in the week, the official account for Team AOC account posted, “We are proud to endorse Justin J. Pearson for Congress in Tennessee’s 9th District. Justin will be fearless fighter for the working people of Tennessee, not billionaires or corporations.” 

Tim’s Take: The endorsement from these far-left Congresswomen will help Pearson raise money from out-of-state liberal small-dollar donors. While it may prove fatal in the general election, it will provide a net-financial edge in the August primary.
