AVL Manufacturing announced a new facility in Charlotte, 325 jobs expected

Canadian-based AVL Manufacturing announced plans to build a new manufacturing facility in Charlotte. The company plans to manufacture industrial power generators and other large components necessary to boost electric grid resiliency.

Here are the key data points for the new project:

  • The project expects to create 325 new jobs.

  • The company plans to invest $56 million to create this facility.

  • The project secured a One North Carolina Fund performance-based grant of $100,000, as long as it meets all the criteria including creating 122 jobs in Mecklenburg County.

  • The average salary is expected to be $90,088, above Mecklenburg’s current average of $86,830.
