Campaign Finance Reports Reveal Cooper’s Senate Campaign Splurged On High-End Chauffeur Service
Politico reports that former Governor Roy Cooper’s first Senate campaign finance report shows that his campaign spent $10,500 on “high-end chauffeur service” and more than $70,000 on a campaign vehicle.
"Roy Cooper is an out-of-touch career politician who prefers to be driven around by high-end chauffeurs while North Carolina families are forced to use public transportation where young women get brutally murdered," said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia. "Cooper’s being driven around while working families are forced to confront dangerous criminals."
The heavy private transportation spending comes after Cooper admitted he had to learn to drive again when he left the governor's office.
