Rep. Mike Collins Addresses Republican Midterm Convention
Last Wednesday, Rep. Mike Collins, the Republican nominee for the United States Senate in Georgia, addressed the Republican Midterm Convention. In his speech, Collins highlighted his roots as a small business owner and criticized Sen. Ossoff for supporting illegal immigration and treating Georgia like a stepping stone. The brutal murder of Laken Riley was featured heavily as a direct consequence of Ossoff’s support for Biden’s open border policies.

I sat in John Ossoff's office and demanded that he help America remember the name of our shared constituent, but no, he wouldn't lift a finger to help me. He forgot her name until it was politically convenient. But I want you to know something, the American people and those in this room did not. And it was. It was the first bill that President Trump signed into law when he got back into office. And because of our work, y'all, over 20,000 criminal, illegal aliens are off our streets, behind bars, or back where they came from.
Americans should expect that their leaders don't give up on them and don't cower to the woke mob, that don't lie to you in Georgia and then go back and vote against you in Washington, D.C.
But John Ossoff, John Ossoff is too scared to vote with conviction. He's too scared to stand up to his party bosses and the Democrat Socialists of America. I mean, that's why he voted against our farmers by shutting down the government to defund ICE and protect illegal aliens. Voted against women to put men in girls' locker rooms, restrooms, and women's domestic violence shelters. Voted against our veterans and then lied, holding a press conference to take credit for a veterans' bill that he voted against. Voted against our rural communities and he tried to block millions of dollars that would help save rural hospitals from being shut down. (8:42) You see, John Ossoff's not a man who cares about Georgia. He's voted at every opportunity to make our lives less safe, more expensive, and worse off.
Georgia's the only place I've ever known as home. That's where I raised my family, built my business, and dedicated my life to supporting my community. And my pledge to the people of Georgia and to the United States is to be a U.S. senator that will put the values and needs of our state first every day, who will fight for Georgia jobs and opportunities, and who will take their experience as a small businessman to Washington to deliver a more affordable, prosperous America, and who will fight for angel families like Lakin's.
