Democrat Don Davis’s Campaign Fueled By Out-Of-State Donations
Recent campaign finance reports reveal that incumbent Representative Don Davis (NC-D) continues to raise most of his funds from outside of North Carolina. The most recent campaign finance reports show that 88.7% of all his donations came from outside of North Carolina. The report continues a pattern for Davis. For the third straight quarter, nearly all of Davis’s individual contributes have some from outside of North Carolina. Over the past nine months, 91% of his individual donations have been out of state.

Davis's reliance on out-of-state money from liberal elites in California, New York, and Massachusetts is a clear indicator that his campaign is going nowhere in a hurry." – NRCC Spokesman Reilly Richardson.
Davis faces a stiff challenge from retired Army Colonel Laurie Buckhout, who has raised $1.8 million in the second quarter to unseat Davis.
