Unlike Moderate Democrats, Congressman Don Davis Follows National Democrats Lead In Refusing To Denounce Progressive With Nazi Tattoo Who Disparaged American Service Members

In Maine, a progressive candidate, Graham Platner, continues to dominate national headlines and is quickly becoming the face of the national Democratic Party, mostly through attention generated by controversy.

Platner had previously received scrutiny for his tattoo of a well-known Nazi symbol, attacks on active-duty service members in harm's way, and reprehensible rhetoric about rape victims. Over the last week, several national outlets have reported that Platner had several inappropriate texting relationships and posted explicit pictures on an app known as a “predator’s paradise” for “child exploitation.”

Notably, moderate Democrats have been actively distancing themselves from Graham Platner. Democrat Sen. John Fetterman from Pennsylvania called Platner a creep.  Massachusetts Rep. Auchincloss said the Nazi tattoo was disqualifying.

Over the last week, Senate Democratic leadership met with Platner. After that meeting, Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York proudly endorsed Platner. With vibes similar to North Carolina Governor Josh Stein’s general, dismal concerns about Platner.

In Washington DC, a concerned citizen asked Congressman Don Davis if he would support Graham Platner for Senate. Davis remained completely silent and what appears to be his staffer swooped in to say, “no comment.”

The Blue Ridge Times asked Congressman Don Davis's campaign again if Davis would denounce Graham Platner, and they declined to comment.

“Nazi-loving abuser Graham Platner’s serial disparagement of brave men and women who keep us safe is disgusting,” said NRCC Spokesman Reilly Richardson. “Don Davis’s refusal to condemn Platner is vile and North Carolina voters will hold him accountable this fall.”

Even more disturbing is Davis’s lack of wiliness to confront Platner about behavior when the New York Times reported that several of Platner’s ex-girlfriends reported disturbing behavior, including twisting his ex-girlfriend's arm and trapping her in a room. Platner denied this allegation, similar to his denials about his nazi tattoo which turned out to be false.

NCGOP Communications Director Matt Mercer said, “Do Nothing Don Davis is doing what he doe best: ignoring his constituents and refusing to take a stand on a moral issue. The First District deserves better, and in November, they will elect Laurie Buckhout to finally give them a strong voice in Congress.”

While the sexting scandal generated the emergency meeting of the Democrats, it is far from the only scandal plaguing Graham Platner. Here are some of the disqualifying things that have been reported on so far:

  • Posts explicit pictures on “Kik” known as “predator’s paradise” for “child exploitation".

  • Calls all cops “pigs” and “bastards”.

  • Mocks the idea of women reporting rape in the military.

  • Smears the late U.S. Navy Seal and Sniper Chris Kyle

There may yet be more to emerge as we draw closer to election day.

“The Democrats are rallying behind a morally bankrupt sexual deviant with a Nazi tattoo, and no one on the left seems willing to condemn him. Only a weak and spineless individual would look at Graham Platner's record and stay silent,” said RNC Spokeswoman Emma Hall.
