This week, the City of Asheville , in partnership with Buncombe County Tourism Authority, Buncombe Government and Asheville Tourist Baseball Club, announced the completion of the McCormick Field Centennial Restoration and Capital Improvement project.  

 

Be part of the crowd welcoming the 2026 season and appreciating the work carried out by City of Asheville staff and our partners. Tickets for tomorrow’s season opener are sold out, but tickets are still available for the other home games this week and for future games on the TouristsTickets.com website.  

 

Here are some of the improvements completed with the project:  

  • Expansion of the existing ticketing building for new ticketing team store facilities 

  • Home team clubhouse improvements, including new female locker rooms and upgraded weight spaces, restrooms, kitchen and dining areas 

  • New video board and streaming capable control system. 

  • 93 new LED sports lights fixtures 

  • Accessible ramp, expanded concourse new group services areas.
