JetZero announces new project in Greensboro, plans to hire 14,5000 North Carolinians
California-based JetZero announced plans to build a new factory in Greensboro at the Piedmont Triad Airport. The project will serve as the manufacturing hub from JetZero’s Z4 airplane, which will deliver 50% better fuel efficiency and carry 250 passengers up to 5,00 nautical miles.
Key Statistics for the new project:
JetZero plans to create 14,560 jobs in Guilford County by 2063 and plans to invest $4.7 billion.
Average salaries are expected to bee $89,340, which exceeds Guilford County’s average salary of $60,195. Annual payroll is estimated to be $1.3 billion.
The project is supported by a $1 billion JDIG transformative incentive program over and expected to grow the state’s economy by $259.4 billion over the next couple of decades.
The state will also support the project with $450 million in infrastructure investments to support the factory.
