Liberal Dark Money Behemoth, The Sixteen Thirty Fund, Dumped Over $1 Million Into North Carolina In 2024
Recent tax filings show that the liberal dark money clearing house, the Sixteen Thirty Fund, gave over $1 million to North Carolina-based groups. It has been reported that the Sixteen Thirty receives money from foreigners and liberal billionaires and spends funds to oppose President Trump’s agenda and defeat Republicans.
Here are some of the radical policies these groups support:
Support defunding the police.
Called ICE agents terrorists and support abolishing ICE.
Want to pack the Supreme Court.
Want to end fossil fuels.
Support radical transgender ideology.
Sixteen Thirty Fund funneled $1,087,500 into North Carolina in 2024:
$25,000 to Carolina Federation
$75,000 to the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance
$25,000 to the Committee on States
$225,000 to Down Home North Carolina
$100,000 to Fair Future NC
$50,000 to Forward Justice Action Network
$250,000 to NCAAT in Action
$102,500 to New Rural Project
$75,000 to the North Carolina A. Philip Randolph Educational Fund Inc.
$160,000 to Siembra NC, and $150,000 to the Urban Sustainability Directors Network
As the Blue Ridge Times previously reported some of these groups spent heavily in the 2025 municipal elections, giving an advantage to radical candidates. North Carolina Republican Party Communication Director, Matt Mercer, said, “The dark money infiltrating North Carolina politics is coming from California, New York, and overseas billionaires who don't have our best interests in mind or care about working families. Their mission is to fund the activities of radical left-wing activists who have no job other than being professional agitators and hate American values.”
