Major Grocery Store Announces Major Distribution Center In Burlington
This week, Ahold Delhaize USA, a leading grocery retail group with brands like Food Lion, announced plans to invest $860 million to establish a new distribution center in Burlington, North Carolina. The project is expected to initially create 150 jobs and eventually grow to 500 employees.
The new state-of-the-art distribution center will serve grocery stores across North Carolina. The company plans to officially begin construction in early 2026 with anticipated start of operations in 2029. The project is expected to have an annual impact of $10.7 million, once the facility is fully operational.
