Memorial Day Ceremonies Across the Triangle

Across the United States, Americans will gather to remember and honor our fellow countrymen who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

Here is a list of the Memorial Day ceremonies different communities across the Triangle are hosting:

Raleigh: The Department of Veterans Affairs will host a Memorial Day Event at Raleigh National Cemetery at 11:00 AM. Additionally, the historic Oakwood Cemetery will host a Memorial Day Service Ceremony at the Historic Oakwood Cemetery at 4:00 PM.

Chapel Hill: Orange County will honor the sacrifice of America’s servicemen and women at the Annual Orange County Veterans Memorial Day Service at Veterans Memorial Site on Homestead Drive in Chapel Hill at 8:45 AM.

Knightdale: The Parks and Recreation Department will host a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Knightdale Veterans Memorial at 11:15 AM.

Cary: American Legion Post 67 will host a Memorial Day Ceremony at Cary’s Hillcrest Cemetery at 10:00 AM.

Garner: The town will host a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Garner Veterans Memorial at 9:45 AM.

Apex: The town will host a Memorial Day Ceremony at Downtown Service Memorial at 9:30 AM.

Pinehurst: The Sandhills Chapter of Military Officer Association of America will host a Memorial Day Service at the Village Chapel in Pinehurst at 11:00 AM.

Sanford: The American Legion Post 947 will host its 2025 Memorial Day Ceremony at North Carolina Veterans Memorial in Broadway NC.
