Novant Health finalizes Triad Region Leadership Team

Last week, Novant Health named its three top executives to lead the Triad Regional Leadership Team for Novant Health, as the healthcare provider expands its presence in the Triad.

  • This move complements Novant’s new leadership structure as the company expands into the Triad region with the addition of Kernersville Medical Center and Forsyth County Hospital.

    • “We selected this extraordinary team to pioneer the future of healthcare delivery in the Triad,” said John Gizdic, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Novant Health. “These leaders will not only ensure that we continue to offer best-in-class hospital care, but that we also drive new initiatives that emphasize holistic, community-based services – whether that’s with a new clinic inside a neighborhood YMCA or increased after-hours virtual care options.”

Meet the new team:

  • John Bowen will serve as the president of Novant Health Triad Region. He previously served as the president of Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He graduated with a masters in health services administration from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences and earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy from Oklahoma Baptist University.

  • Alisah Hutchens will serve as the Novant Health’s acute care operation in the Triad, as well as the president of Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center and Novant Health Medical Park Hospital. She has 17 years of experience with Novant Health, including several roles in senior leadership. Hutchens holds a master’s degree in business administration from Liberty University and a bachelor’s degree in business from Appalachian State University.

She has served with Novant Health for 12 years, including a role as a senior director at the Novant Health Women’s & Children’s Institute in the Triad. Before joining Novant, she worked at Pfizer. She earned her master’s degree in business administration and her bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Connecticut.
