President Trump Visits Fort Bragg To Thank Troops

This Friday, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump visited Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to thank the American heroes serving with Delta Force, who flawlessly executed the raid to bring indicted narcoterrorist Nicolás Maduro to justice.

North Carolina is proud to be home to over 120,000 active duty service members, and military spending contributes over $66 billion to North Carolina’s economy. Fort Bragg is the largest military base in the United States and is home to the 82nd Airborne and Army Special Operations Command. National security issues directly impact North Carolinians, who are often serving at the tip of the spear, but Senate Candidate Roy Cooper has declined to show leadership on these issues.

“While Roy Cooper ignores these brave men and women, President Trump, North Carolinians, and the entire nation are grateful for Fort Bragg’s Delta Force, the heroes who helped bring Nicolás Maduro to justice for his regime’s role in killing thousands of Americans.” - RNC Spokeswoman Emma Hall

After news of Maduro’s capture broke, Cooper waited several days to release a politically charged statement on the situation. Instead of showing leadership by highlighting his stances on the issue, Cooper focused on playing politics.

At the event, President Trump thanked the troops for their sacrifices to protect our country. He recognized Senate Candidate Michael Whatley, who addressed the crowd. He thanked President Trump for his leadership and the soldiers who serve.
