Republicans from across North Carolina and the United States rally behind Whatley for Senate
Yesterday, after RNC Chairman Michael Whatley officially launched his campaign for the U.S. Senate, Republicans across North Carolina and the United States proclaimed their endorsement. President Donald J. Trump, the leader of the Republican Party, already gave Whatley his “full and complete” endorsement.
What North Carolina Republicans said about Whatley:
U.S. Senator Ted Budd said, “I’m glad to see Chairman Whatley enter the race for U.S. Senate here in North Carolina. Michael knows our state well, and will fight for North Carolina families by securing the border, creating economic opportunity, and restoring common sense in Washington.”
Speaker Destin Hall said, “Chairman Whatley fought to keep our legislative majorities strong and led the charge on winning back the NC Supreme Court. With President Trump’s endorsement, he’s the conservative fighter we need to defend NC’s seat in the Senate. Let’s get to work.”
N.C. Senator Brad Overcash said, “RNC Chairman Whatley will make an excellent U.S. Senator. I was proud to have the opportunity to introduce my friend today at a former textile mill in Gaston County, N.C. as he announced his candidacy. We are immeasurably proud of our friend from Gaston County.”
What Republican leaders across the country said about Whatley:
U.S. Senate Leader John Thune said, “"Michael Whatley has done an exceptional job leading the Republican National Committee through historic campaign successes, and I'm excited to endorse him in his bid to become North Carolina's next U.S. Senator. Michael is a strong conservative voice committed to fighting for North Carolina and will be a crucial part of our growing Senate Republican majority.”
NRSC Chairman Sen. Tim Scott said, “Like President Donald J. Trump, Michael Whatley knows how to win North Carolina. He's a strong America First conservative and a champion for the Tar Heel State, so I'm confident we will keep the seat in Republican hands. With Michael in the race and running to win, I know we will protect President Trump's Senate Majority in 2026."
U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn said, “Chairman Whatley will make an outstanding U.S. Senator. I’m honored to give him my full support. Join me in backing his campaign.”
U.S. Senator Katie Britt said, “Congratulations to Chairman Whatley launching his campaign—he’s going to be a tremendous Senator for the people of North Carolina and our nation. Looking forward to working alongside him to help hardworking families live their American Dream.”
