South Carolina Republican Party Announces U.S. Senate Debate On August 3rd
This week, the South Carolina Republican party announced that it will sponsor a debate for the special U.S. Senate Primary on August 3rd from 7:00PM – 8:00PM, with cooperation from Gray media.
SCGOP Chairman Drew McKissick said, “As Republicans consider who should represent us on the ballot and represent South Carolina in the US Senate for the next six years, it’s a critical that they have an opportunity to compare the candidates on the issues and how they communicate their ideas with the public. Gray media has tremendous broadcast presence in our state and we’re excited to work with them to bring this debate to Republicans all across South Carolina.”
Candidate participate will be conditional on agreeing to participating in the prospective runoff debate. Final details regarding candidate participation, polling reequipments and debate rules will be determined by the SCGOP Debate Committee and released in the coming days.
