Software Company Announces Wake County Project

Last Tuesday, BuildOps, a commercial software company headquartered in Los Angeles, announced plans to build a new operations hub in Wake County. The Raleigh project will be the company’s third hub, joining Los Angeles and Toronto. BuildOps creates software solutions for HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical contractors.

 

Key Facts About the New Project

  • BuildOps plans to create 291 jobs and invest $771,200 in capital investments.

  • The company expects the average salary to be $110,997, compared to Wake County’s average salary of $76,643. Eventually, the project is expected to have $30 million annual payroll impact.

  • The project is supported by a $1.8 million JDIG agreement over 12 years, if the company meets certain requirements. The project is expected to grow the state’s economy by $701.1 million over 12 years.
