UNC Asheville Announces Record Pre-College Program Enrollment
This week, the University of North Carolina Asheville announced record enrollment for its nationally recognized Pre-College Programs, which started this week. Students came to Asheville from as far away as Texas, California, and even internationally.
According to Pre-College Program Director Blair Jenkins, “We’re excited to have such an engaged group of students on campus. This week alone we have 113 Pre-College participants on campus taking part in a wide variety of programs, including Creative Writing, Ceramic Pottery, Geology & Adventure, Engineering & Mechatronics, Wildlife Wonders: Appalachian Zoology, and Pre-Med.”
She continued, “next week, we’ll welcome another 95 students, bringing our total Pre-College enrollment to 208 participants. These students will be participating in programs such as Creative Writing, Film Scoring & Sound Design, Music Composition & Songwriting, River Ecology & Adventure, Engineering & Mechatronics, Game Design & AI, and Meteorology.”
