Vice President JD Vance Campaigns In Greensboro

Yesterday, Vice President J.D. Vance campaigned in Greensboro ahead of the 2026 midterm election. Vance was joined by Michael Whatley who is running against 40 year politician Roy Cooper for the United States Senate.  

Here are the highlights from the event:

On Republicans delivering 1 million new jobs: “Last month, we hit one million new jobs created under the Trump Administration — and unlike the last Administration, where all the net job growth went to the foreign born, 100% of the new jobs have gone to American citizens.” 

On putting more money back in North Carolinians’ pockets: "Drug prices are falling faster than they have fallen in 60 years...and despite the efforts of Congressional Democrats like Don Davis, we have delivered No Taxes on Tips, No Taxes on Overtime, and No Taxes on Social Security."  

On Roy Cooper's soft-on-crime record: "As the murder rate ticked up under Roy Cooper, a culture of lawlessness took root...We saw what can happen when violent criminals are allowed to remain on the streets when we saw that beautiful girl, Iryna Zarutska, killed in Charlotte."

On Cooper fighting for the woke agenda: "As Governor, Roy Cooper again listened to the far-Left and vetoed the Parents' Bill of Rights. This was a bill that said parents - not hospitals, not teachers' unions, not anybody - should make big decisions about their kid's healthcare and education." 

On Cooper's failures to secure North Carolina's elections: "Roy Cooper, ever the loyal servant of the far-Left, obeyed them and he vetoed voter ID in the state of North Carolina. Your elections are less safe because...instead of having the courage to stand up to the far-Left, Roy Cooper bent the knee."
