New Undercover Video Shows Democrat Senate Nominee Roy Cooper Open To Embracing Democrat Socialist
This week, Fox News reported on a new undercover video in which former Governor Roy Cooper clearly states that he would not support Promise To America legislation. This legislation was filed by moderate Democrats to clearly show their opposition to the rise of Democrat Socialists of America within the Democratic Party.
“Roy Cooper finally puts his real colors on display. His statement is not surprising because Cooper’s track record is about as far-left as they come. Cooper was the most partisan governor in North Carolina history, with more vetoes than all other governors combined, while pushing the radical policies that hurt our families but bow down to the far-left woke mob,” said Whatley Spokesman DJ Griffin. “Cooper’s embrace of socialism shows what he would be in the Senate, another member of the far-left that would work to eliminate private property and turn our country into Venezuela.”
In the video, a member of the public asked Cooper about the Promise to America, explaining that this legislation shunned the socialist side of the Democrat Party. Cooper said, “I think we need to have a wide spectrum… I think we need to have all kinds of folks part of our party, particularly now.”
“Roy Cooper is campaigning with socialists, tying himself to radical groups, and fundraising with some of the most insane Democrats in the Senate. Cooper can lie about being a moderate all he wants, but he can’t hide the company he keeps.” - RNC Spokeswoman Emma Hall.
Despite reality, legacy media outlets across North Carolina have described Cooper as a moderate. But in reality, Cooper’s refusal to join the moderate Democrats on the Promise to America legislation and welcome in the Democrat Socialist of America candidates, yet again, demonstrates Cooper is only a moderate the fiction passed off as political reporting.
Here are some of the key points in the Promise to America, which Cooper declined to support:
We are capitalist, not socialist.
We want safety, not lawlessness.
Fiscal Discipline: We are responsible, not reckless.
We believe government should solve problems, not create them.
Free Speech, Respect, and Common Purpose. We are mainstream, not extreme.
We are proud, not ashamed of America.
The promise to America does contrast with Cooper’s agenda and allies:
Roy Cooper rolled out the red carpet for a socialist, racked up endorsements from radical groups like the Sierra Club, is fundraising with some of the most liberal Democrats in the Senate.
For months, Cooper welcomed Graham Platner into the Democrat Party, until party bosses gave the green light to distance themselves from him.
During COVID, Cooper shut down churches and issued an order that led to the arrest of protesters, a direct violation of the First Amendment.
During his time as Governor, Cooper vetoed tax hikes and pushed a Green New Deal agenda that increased energy costs.
Before he ran for Senate, Cooper championed transgender rights over women’s safety and vetoed legislation to ensure that only women could play in women’s sports.
