Rep. Richard Hudson Declines Senate Bid 

Today, Congressman Richard Hudson (R) officially took himself out of consideration for a possible U.S. Senate run after several hundred North Carolinas encourage him to run.  

 

Hudson said

As the Blue Ridge Times reported on Sunday, Hudson would be viewed as a top candidate after Tillis’s decision to retire. But his current leadership responsibilities would discourage him from making the jump from the House to the Senate.
