NC College Connect Extends College Admissions To Over 67,500 High School Seniors Across North Carolina Without A College Application

NC College Connect announced that over 67,500 high school seniors across North Carolina already have a seat at select four-year colleges and universities next fall through its direct admission program that provides a streamlined path to higher education. Students can check their admission offers by visiting NCCollegeConnect.org and logging into the student portal there. They will also receive an official letter by U.S. mail in the coming days.

State Audit Shows Increase In Machine Gaming

Between FY 2023 and FY 2025, the North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) reported a gross sale increase from $4.3 billion up to $6.6 billion, up 51% in two years. Over that same period, the percentage of sales transferred to the Education Fund fell from 23% to 16%. Actual dollars transferred to the Education Fund increased from $1.02 billion in FY 2023 to $1.09 billion in FY 2024 but dipped to $1.08 billion in FY 2025.
